Post In Partnership With Studio.co.uk As Part Of My Year Long Brand Ambassadorship
You’ll know from my recent posts that over the summer I was in the midst of giving my bedroom a makeover, and had chosen a colour palette comprising of the most gorgeous Morris Blue, white and splashes of pink.
No matter what space I’m working with, whether it’s back in my tiny bedroom in my parents house, or this ample room I’m lucky enough to have now, I always try and carve somewhere to get ready on a morning.
I don’t have a fancy skincare routine, never really do anything different with my hair, nor do I spend hours on my makeup, but having somewhere where I can sit on a morning, listen to a podcast and get my game face on, is a great way to start the day right.
As part of my year long brand ambassadorship with Studio.co.uk, they challenged me to update the space with three things from their new homeware range for aw19.
First of all, the major requirement I had ahead of the darker mornings was a light that combined form and function. This gold desk lamp with frosted white glass and brass base is perfect, tying together the other brass accessories I have.
The Lonsdale Touch Table Lamp is actually on sale at the time of writing, down from £21.99 to £19.99, but be quick because pieces like this don’t stay around long on the website.
To include a little more pink in the room (I know, that’s not like me!), I chose the most beautiful leaf printed pink glass vase to keep my faux hydrangeas in on my dressing table.
This adds the perfect pop of colour to an otherwise white space, and I genuinely didn’t expect it to be as big as it was when it arrived. It really is beautiful and priced at £16.99, is the perfect purchase if you’re looking to update your home for the new season on a budget.
As soon as I saw this playful blush pink rug in the Studio catalogue, I fell in love. Almost like a blush pink and white dalmatian print, the Pebbles Rug also comes in black, grey and mustard and makes a fun addition to a bedroom, children’s room or playroom.
As it’s such a large print, my advice to you would be to buy a small size and layer with a sheepskin rug, or a plain block coloured carpet as it can be slightly overwhelming, especially in a small space. But don’t let that put you off, just buy in a small size and layer.
I really hope some of these pieces have caught your eye – if I was to choose a favourite it would have to be the gold and white touch lamp. It has three different settings, for increased brightness, all from touching the base of the lamp while plugged in. The small things please me.
