Today we’re taking a look around one of my favourite lifestyle bloggers, Kat Tanita. As the founder of the hugely successful With Love From Kat, I fell in love with Kat’s wardrobe before I did her home. But rest assured, her immense taste is visible in all areas of her life. Before moving to Venice Beach, California, Kat lived in the West Village of New York for six years. Today I wanted to take a little trip down memory lane and show you how to achieve the look and feel of her glamorous Manhattan apartment in your own home.
Measuring 650 sq ft, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is located in a 1920s brick building, complete with fire escape and white blossoms outside come spring time. The key to living in this space comfortably was to maximise every single inch. From the dining room nook created by the entrance to the living room, to the amazing shoe storage in the office, this apartment proves even the smallest of spaces can be sophisticated.
It was only 2 years into living there that Kat hired the help of interior design specialist Becca Interiors, and subsequently painted her bedroom a deep black, and switched up her furniture slightly. It’s the small details that really make this space special, such as the coffee table books, the collection of blue and white ginger jars on the dining table and carefully curated vignettes in and around the apartment.
Scroll down to see the full space, and at the bottom of the post you’ll find nine pieces of furniture and home decor that you can buy right now to get the same glamorous look in your own home.
