Sainsbury's Homeware Renaissance Boutique Collection

Sainsbury's Homeware Renaissance Boutique Collection

Now you all know I’m a supermarket girl at heart. From clothing to beauty to homeware, if it’s all under one roof then I’m a happy shopper. So when Sainsbury’s (the creators of my favourite chocolate EVER – caramel crisp chocolate bars, if you were wondering) got in touch to showcase their brand new Renaissance Boutique collection, I knew I wanted to grab some pieces to give my living room a touch of glam for the new season.

Sainsbury’s is, in my opinion, an absolute treasure trove of homeware. There are so many people that still don’t realise this supermarket offers some of the most gorgeous, and purse-friendly, kitchen, living, bathroom and bedroom items on the high street. And who doesn’t love style at an affordable price point, right?

The Renaissance Boutique collection is everything you’d expect it to be – brushed gold with hints of marble throughout, angular silhouettes and pretty glassware. I chose to add a little glamour to my gold side table in my living room, starting with this stunning gold Valencia chandelier lamp, which looks so much expensive than its £30 price tag. Although I’ve styled it in by my sofa, it could work just as well adding height to a bedside table, or even your workspace.

I complemented that with a bunch of faux rose in a delicate glass vase. It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of faux flowers, especially having two cats, and these are the perfect addition to any side table – setting you back £12. Following the rule of three when styling vignettes, I added this gold candle. Although the smell is more of a generic candle scent (this is Neroli & Amber), the gold metal jar it comes in is enough to warrant the £6 price tag. How gorgeous would this be once the candle has burnt down to use as storage for your makeup brushes?

I also picked up this gorgeous marble decorative item, which was £10. I say ‘decorative item’ because it’s literally so pretty all you need to use it for is to sit somewhere…and decorate. I’ll be using it as a paperweight in my office, or to hit an intruder over the head if they break into my house. Trust me, this rock could do some damage.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a favourite piece. This geometric gold basket, which I’m using to store my magazines in, is gorgeous. As in “Oh my god, I need to decorate my whole living room around this one basket” kind of gorgeous. This could be a great alternative to store towels in a bathroom, a throw and cushion on at the side of your reading nook armchair or even in your office somewhere. I mean, it could even be a fancy fruit bowl, but I think I prefer magazines and maybe a little bar of Sainsbury’s caramel crisp chocolate.

If any of these items take your fancy, then the next thing I’m about to say will make you happy. Because I’m a good egg, I’ve decided to give away this gorgeous vignette – so the lamp, the candle and the flowers, all to add a little renaissance glamour to your own home. This competition isn’t affiliated with Sainsbury’s just to be clear, I just really wanted to share these gorgeous pieces with one of my readers, so all you need to do to be in with a chance is either share a Tweet below or ‘Like’ Apartment Number 4 on Facebook. You could even do both and have double the chances. Make sure you share this post and let your friends know they could be in with a chance too, and remember to check out the full Renaissance Boutique collection the next time you’re in Sainsbury’s, or online right here. Good luck!

  1. Great post as always Victoria! How kind of you to create the giveaway as well which such gorgeous pieces. I think if I won I would add them to my bedroom as they would go very well with my white furniture in there and my four years old ikea lamp definitely needs an upgrade hehe.

  2. Oooh! I’ve read so much about this collection but haven’t had a chance to have a proper gander yet! I’m always on the lookout for homeware bargains at supermarkets and my favourite ever bedding is from Sainsbury’s!

    I need that basket.

  3. I’m so into Sainsburys Home just now. I got the most adorable candle last week in a white jar with mustard hares in it. In fact most of my candles I’ve bought recently have been bought for the jars to use afterwards!
I could totally see this gorgeous setup in my spare room. Getting rid of the bed and awaiting a sofa bed being delivered this weekend. So excited. It’s going to be a yoga/sewing room/second living room. Thought I’d get more use out of it than waiting on people staying over once in a while. Wish I’d done it years ago.

    1. Ha, had a look at the collection and I bought the teal and gold tray from Markies recently at double the price. The exact same one! Damn.

  4. Everything is so gorgeous and always envy your impeccable photography. Ps. That couch is exactly what I want to buy!! The blue looks divine!

  5. Feeding baby and mentally redecorating the guest bedroom (the only room safe from baby clutter), reading instead of eating, no free hands with this one

  6. Sounds like a lovely giveaway Victoria – it sounds like I ought to check out Sainsbury’s for great value homeware in the future! Love the gold and marble x

  7. Omg, everything looks amazing! I’m an absolute gold interiors addict but it’s hard to find golden pieces on the high street, so this is perfect. I’m going to have to make my next food shop a Sainsburys one, just so I can ‘accidentally stumble upon’ the homeware section xx

  8. My living room- perfect for everyone to see and all my family to be able to use. They will modernise my living room a lot. Gorgeous!

  9. Some really lovely pieces at such good prices, I would love these to go in my living room.

  10. I think these pieces would look perfect in my lounge, we are planning on decorating after Christmas , so would be ideal.

  11. I’d love them in my bedroom, it looks a bit plain just now & these would really brighten it up

  12. I love Sainsburys for homeware – these are beautiful! Our lounge needs a bit of TLC so these would be perfect for that!

  13. Wow your photos are so amazing Victoria! I think these pieces would add a bit of glam to my newly decorated Art Nouveau style guest room. Hubby made all the decisions when we were decorating this room (and it looks great, just don’t tell him I said that!) so it would be nice to add some more ‘me’ touches to the room 🙂

  14. I would love these items in my living room, it would suit my colour scheme and they ad a lovely elegant touch .x
