rattan tray with candle on

As my last post before Christmas day, I wanted to share some living room updates I’ve added to my space to make it feel a little homelier.

When I decorate I tend to get rid of everything to work as a clean slate, and once the room is completed, it can feel a little lackluster and sparse. Which is why I’ve been working on adding texture and decorative items over the last couple of weeks.

In partnership with British homeware brand, Cox & Cox, who kindly gifted me these items, here are four pieces of decor that I have used to inject personality into my blush pink and terracotta living room.

From full-length mirrors to faux flowers, furniture, storage ideas and more, Cox & Cox has a gorgeous aesthetic running throughout – as you can well see from the pieces I’ve picked out.

Speaking of storage ideas, I was so pleased to find this pair of rattan trays with tan suede handles as I’ve been in search of something like this for a while. Used either together as a decorative item – on your coffee table, for example – or used separately as a breakfast tray on a Sunday morning in bed, this is a great example of form meets function.

Another new addition is this dipped terracotta vase in blush pink (currently on sale for £20.00). Beautifully handmade, this vase not only adds colour to the space, but also interest from the contrasting textures of glazed pink top and rough body.

Inside I added three faux hydrangea stems from Cox & Cox, which have to be some of the most realistic artificial flower stems I’ve come across in mainstream interiors. Currently on sale for £20.00 for three, these are the perfect way of adding a touch of nature to your home – a great alternative to the real deal if you have pets or young children.

The final addition is this stunning gold candle holder, which sadly sold out within weeks. Not surprising really is it? One thing I’ve enjoyed doing is adding more reflective surfaces and metallics to the room now it’s decorated, which makes this the perfect finishing touch to my sideboard vignette.

Is there anything here that’s caught your eye? At the time of pressing publish on this blog post, Cox & Cox are having a huge sale with many things half price so I’d highly recommend taking a look at the website.
