Take A Look Around The Most Amazing Mountain Retreat

If you haven’t noticed a pattern emerging from last week to this, Friday is officially the day of the home tour. What better way to spend your commute to work (or those late afternoon hours where you rarely do any actual work) than pouring over an amazing home and taking away inspiration for your own abode?

This week’s showcase is a stunning mountain ranch in Park City, Utah, designed and styled by the incredible team over at Studio McGee. With high ceilings and streams of natural light coming through into every room, there are so many elements of this home that have completely captured my heart. With textures aplenty, from cow hide to wood, marble and leather, the rooms are perfectly balanced with the simplistic monochrome colour pallet running throughout – I told you I had a thing for cohesive colour palettes didn’t I.

The beauty of this house is the mixture of traditional and utterly modern. From the sink fixtures to the built in hallway storage, there’s an incredible blend of sleek, modern design, set against mid-century inspired furniture, vintage inspired textiles and rustic finishes. Scroll down to view the whole house and let me know which is your favourite room – I’m struggling to choose between the main living room (hello floor to ceiling windows) and the simplicity of the bathroom, with its combination of marble and wood. Boy, do they know how to get a girl excited. Have a great Friday guys.

  1. Completely agree, my favourite room is the open plan living space. I just can’t say no to mid-century inspired furniture! And the size of that mudroom…

I’m looking forward to the next Friday house tour now 🙂
