Homesense – the sister store to TK Maxx (or TJ Maxx if you’re in the US reading this) – seems to stir up quite the reaction from those with a passion for interiors. I recently worked with the brand to bring together eight of the North’s finest bloggers for an in-store event at their Birstall store near Leeds. The amount of replies I got was immense. People, myself included, are besotted with this place. And it’s easy to see why. With so many one-off pieces, on trend designs and prices that won’t cause a relationship breakdown, I could spend hours just searching the shelves for bits that I don’t actually need, but really want.
The reason for the event was so the team to showcase their spring/summer 2017 edit, with all the new products that had hit the store that week. It was so nice to see so many fresh spring colours, especially as interior-wise, spring is my favourite season to decorate – getting rid of the cobwebs and adding some new blooms and vibrant prints.
As you’d expect from Homesense, there were faux flowers a plenty, and if I had to choose a favourite, it would be these amazing eucalyptus stems below – the perfect flatlay prop if you ask me.
From side tables to beautiful handcrafted armchairs, there are so many great additions to the store for the new season. I fell in love with the gold and glass side tables above – if I’d have had somewhere to store them I’d have bought both for bedside tables but my spending ban came into play and I had to take a swift left down the aisle.
It was also great to meet such a great group of girls on the night. I already knew the gorgeous Remie (www.remiesluxuryblog.com) who has fast become my go-to-girl for coffee, pancakes and to discuss blogging woes, the lovely Lucy (http://www.lucyearnshaw.co.uk/) and Phoebe (www.northoflondon.co.uk) from various Leeds events, but it was new introduction to Ally (www.digital-diva.co.uk), Claire (www.clairemac.co.uk), Danielle (www.chaptersix.co.uk) and Zoe (www.zoeolivia.co.uk). It’s so nice when you meet such a friendly group of girls, especially who are equally as obsessed with interiors as I am.
Do you have a Homesense nearby? Are you a fan? I would literally keep this store in business alone if I had the money. Plus, I suspect I’d have to build an extension for all the chairs I’d insist on buying.
Let me know if anything here catches your eye and be sure to check out the girls I’ve mentioned above – they all have great but very different blogs so you’re bound to find something you love. Have a great day guys.
