Is it too early to thinking about Christmas? Now Halloween’s out of the way, surely I can start planning for the festive season – what presents I’m going to buy, what I’m going to cook (by cook, I obviously mean buy ready made from M&S) etc. The most exciting part of Christmas for me is creating my very own Christmas grotto at home. Each year I’ll pick a theme and absolutely go to town, making it look as welcoming and jolly as can be with Christmas decorations at every turn.
Last year I went with a pastel theme, which looked great with my living room decor. This year, I’m steering towards a more grown-up, glamorous style. Think black, which and gold with hints of pink. I love how full-on our American friends are about the holidays’ and I think this year I kind of want to go the same way. I’m not saying a light up Santa will perch on the top of my roof, but I’m definitely going to get a wreath for the door, fairy lights around the french doors and make sure my bar cart is fully stocked for possible guests.
Here are some glamorous Christmas decoration ideas I’ve been saving on my Pinterest anyway, and sorry if you think the 1st November is a little too early to be talking about Christmas, but frankly, I don’t care. If I could have a Baileys on ice right now I totally would.
