I’d definitely describe myself as a spiritual person. From tarot readings to following the practices of the Law of Attraction, to using crystals for energy, the few years have seen me become a lot more open-minded to more than just the everyday way of living.
What do I mean by spiritual? From a young age, I’ve always said I’m not religious. My parent aren’t and religion isn’t something that was a big factor in my childhood. But as I’ve gotten older, discovered more about life and often found myself putting my faith in a higher being – I like to say it’s the universe and it’s she – I’ve realised that my way of thinking and living my life has become my own personal religion.
I ask the universe to help me with so many things in life, I believe that the energy from our bodies is still around even after our bodies have passed, and I’m a huge believer in fate and karma. What you give out in life, comes back to you. I also have reiki once a month and hot stone massages, whilst cleansing my chakras (discover more about your chakras here), and whether you believe it’s a placebo effect or your energy really is cleansed, as long as I continue to feel amazing when I leave these sessions, I’ll be going back again and again.
Although I don’t like to use the word “trend” when it comes to things like this, there’s a definite change in the air surrounding spirituality. It’s become a lot more accessible and, dare I say it, accepting, to openly talk about things that would have once been described as “hippyish” by people who might not have fully understood in the past. Which, in my eyes, is amazing as it enables others to discover more and become more open-minded.
With that said, I wanted to put together this post to showcase some of the beautiful gift ideas I found for your spiritual friend (or yourself for that matter) whilst browsing the virtual shelves of Anthropologie. I absolutely adore the crescent moon earring set, and I’ve already emailed my mum to ask for The Power of Crystal Healing book for my birthday in October.
There you have it, a little on my way of thinking and some gift ideas as a bonus. Would you class your self as spiritual?
