Introducing C.P Hart, The Home Of Inspiring Bathroom Design

Post in Partnership with C.P Hart

Can I be completely transparent at the start of this post? I discovered C.P Hart at the start of this year, despite the brand being in business since 1937, because of one thing – a pink sink. A stunning pink sink at that.

I reached out to the brand to say how much I loved their modern take on bathroom design and a couple of email exchanges later, I was invited to their Manchester showroom to discover there’s so much more than that amazing millennial pink Cielo Shui countertop basin.

With 15 showrooms nationwide, I was happy to discover C.P Hart had recently refurbished their Manchester location in the heart of Deansgate, putting a strong focus on their northern customer base. Manchester is in fact their only northern showroom, which is why I was keen to take a tour.

Established in 1937 by Charles Percival Hart, the brand offers some of the highest quality bathroom products across both traditional and contemporary design. What attracted me to the brand (aside from said pink sink) is the ability to invest in just one signature piece and work your space around that.

The feeling of entering the showroom is relaxed – and when talking to Emma, C.P. Hart’s designer who created the Deansgate showroom concept from scratch, it’s clear to see there is zero pressure for the customer to invest in a full bathroom scheme. You know the feeling I mean. Upsell, upsell, upsell. That’s not the case at C.P Hart. Although, once you see the craftsmanship and innovation, it will be hard to imagine another design working as well.

Yes, the products are premium which mean a higher-level price tag but being able to remodel your bathroom around one signature piece makes investing in a brand such as C.P Hart so much more accessible for the more modest budget.

If, however, creating a full bathroom design is something the customer is looking for, a team of experts are on hand to cover each step of the process from layout to installation, including tiles, and accessories – all of which are available through the brand. A one-stop shop in luxury bathroom design if you like.

While the more classic customer is certainly catered for, what really makes C.P Hart stand out in a busy market is its focus on contemporary design, with a mix of British and European designer brands including Fantini, Duravit, Cielo,  Artelinea,  Gessi , Vola and Samuel Heath and many more. Plus C.P Hart has its own brand range with many exclusive products produced solely for them.

Looking at the trends to dominate bathroom design this coming year, designer Emma was on hand to explain further, following her visits to trade events such as Clerkenwell Design Week and international show, ISH.

Alongside the return of free-standing basins, 70’s smoked glass, thinner profiles, seamless joins, matt gold and brushed nickel accessories, weathered bronze finishes, and the use of crittall glass, the brand has really embraced the trend for wellness, leading to the design of custom-build in-home spas.

What seems like an adventurous process only for the brave and affluent, the process actually couldn’t be simpler. With an expert installation team, it can be as easy as simply plugging the power in to your sauna and beginning your journey to pure relaxation.

Personalisation, meanwhile, is a key focus for C.P Hart, with many pieces available in a raft of colours and variations of finishes. In the Deansgate showroom alone, there is a vast catalogue of tap and accessories, enabling the customer to really touch and experience the product they’re buying.

With a close relationship with paint specialist Farrow & Ball (who are housed adjacent to the Deansgate location), custom paint colours are also available on products such as baths and basins. As with the whole ethos of C.P Hart, it’s about creating a bathroom that exudes your personality, that feels bespoke just to you. Something as a designer, and a shopper, I appreciate.

Is C.P Hart a familiar name to you? I’d love to know if any of the designs here catch your eye and whether contemporary pieces like this are something you’d incorporate into your own home?

You can find the C.P Hart Manchester showroom at Deansgate, Manchester M3 4EW, while a full list of showroom locations can be found on the brand’s website.

*Post in collaboration with C.P Hart but thoughts and opinions on beautiful bathroom design all my own.
