Welcome To My Home

Hello and welcome inside Apartment Number 4! I figured, as I’m so nosey about other people’s houses you might be too, so today I’m giving you a tour of where I like to call home.

Having rented this top-floor apartment for the last five years, it’s pretty fair to say I’d hate to leave. It has so much natural light (hello, blog photography!) and I’ve made as many changes as possible in a rental.

One of the best investments I made was my removable wallpaper from Etsy, which comes cut to size, and simply peels off when you decide to move out.

How would I describe my style? I’d say Californian feminine. I love pink, natural textures, light woods, flowers, feminine styling. If I could relocate to the West Coast and take everyone with me, I would.

I’m still dealing with magnolia walls in the flat, and I have plans for my dream kitchen when I save enough money to buy this flat from my landlord. Think white shaker cabinets with peach herringbone tiles.

In terms of shopping you’ll find me in Anthropologie, Oliver Bonas, Homesense, Sainsbury’s Home, Marks & Spencer, Rose & Grey, Ikea, Desenio, The Little Deer, Trouva and so many other affordable but beautiful homeware stores.

Which is your favourite room of your house? It’s a toss-up between my open plan living dining room or my office. I hope you’ve enjoyed this mini tour and you can keep up to date with all my home renovations and updates by checking out my Home Decor category right here.

You’re so lucky to have so much natural light! My flat is very dark, particularly my lounge. It’s part of a converted Grade 1 listed mansion and I adore the dark wood beams and sloping ceilings throughout, but I’d love more natural light! My favourite room is my bedroom, it’s the lightest room in the whole place as it has two windows, but it’s spacious and airy too. As much as I say I want natural light, this room I think could carry off a dark wall!
