Adding A Touch Of Morocco Style To My Home

Today I'm sharing how to add moroccan interior design inspiration into your own home, in partnership with First Choice Lighting.

Ever since going on holiday to Marrakech a few years back, I’ve loved adding elements of Moroccan interior design inspiration into my home. From blue and white tiles in the kitchen to handcrafted woodwork and intricate lamps and lanterns, there are so many pieces you can pick up from the high street and online without ever needing to step foot on a plane – although I’d highly recommend visiting Morocco if you’ve never had the chance. The souks, the smells, the food, it’s like stepping into another world altogether.

Which leads me on to my latest interior find which I couldn’t wait to show you. The team over at First Choice Lighting were kind enough to send me this gorgeous antique silver table lamp, which could, in fact, have come straight from the depths of the souks. Although this lamp looks stunning through the day on my bedside table, it really comes into its own at night – casting shadows and shapes across the room as you can see from the picture above.

It adds such a warm relaxing glow to the room and goes really well with the white wooden carving I picked up at The Range recently. I’ve been hankering after a white carved headboard for a while now, but this is going to have to be the next best thing until I have the money to invest in one. Meanwhile, I mixed textures with my bedside tables to keep thing interesting, adding a concrete plant pot with some faux roses and peonies in.

This lamp is definitely the sort of feature piece you can add in your living room, to create a nice ambiance to your guest bedroom or even in the hallway against a plain wall to create a focal point at night when the light casts the most stunning shadow patterns.

Anyway, if you scroll to the bottom you’ll find a list of First Choice Lighting lamps that I’ve given the official Apartment Number 4 stamp of approval – all really well priced and perfect to update your home on a budget.

This light looks so lovely, especially when it’s lit up. I love the white carving ornament you’ve got behind it too – just my kind of decor! I’ve really got into Moroccan decor recently x

I’ve been looking at carvings like this for ages but at £40 – £50 they were a bit beyond my budget. Couldn’t believe it when I saw this one at The Range so I rushed out and bought it – I love it! Also love the lamp as well. Thanks!
