THE BUDGET BUY SONIC FACIAL CLEANSER

Since turning 30 I’ve started to take much better care of my skin – not just investing in products, but investing time as well. I used to be the girl who would wipe off a full day’s makeup with a Simple cleansing wipe and then go to bed. The thing is with wipes, they’re fine if you’re drunk or somewhere where you can’t do your usual skincare routine, but they leave so much dirt on your skin, it’s really not a good idea to do it nightly.

I use a gel cleanser now, still from Simple, but it’s great for my combination skin type. Over the past two weeks, however, I’ve added a little something extra to my routine and it’s a game changer. Enter the sonic facial cleanser. Actually scrap that. Enter the £12.99 sonic facial cleanser.

This little beauty is from Aldi (which for those outside of the UK, is a budget supermarket) and I literally can’t believe the quality for the price. It has six interchangeable heads, including softer brushes for first thing on a morning, to a facial massage attachment. It takes two normal batteries, is completely waterproof so you can use it in the shower and pulses to remove dirt and grime from deep in your pores.

As I’ve mentioned above, I’ve been using it for two weeks and my skin feels so much cleaner once I’ve used this on an evening. Throw in some Ren Blemish Control cream and I’m practically Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. My mum picked one up at the same time and she absolutely loves it. I’ve seen sonic cleansers on sale for up to £120, so when you consider that this miracle worker is less than £15, there’s a lot to be said for simply paying for a branded name.

Quick, hurry down to Aldi before they all go…
