SIX OF THE COOLEST INTERIORS ACROSS THE WORLD

How the hell have I never been to Clerkenwell Grind before?! This place is an interior lovers dream. I never thought blue and pink could work so well together but this restaurant has proved me wrong. I love the addition of the marble bar and the retro lighting ties the space together perfectly. Image credit.

Nanan Patiserie in Wroclaw, Poland is possibly the prettiest interior I’ve ever seen. I thought Sketch in London was pink paradise but the addition of marble tables, polished brass accents, herringbone parquet flooring and those chairs make this my idea of heaven. Image credit.

Inspired by our very own Kate Middleton, Middletown Cafe in Prahan, Melbourne prides itself on its humble and unpretentious appearance. This space, much like Kate, is the epitome of elegance. It has a slight Charlotte from Sex and the City feel to it – very Sunday brunch. Image credit.

Housed in a 1928 building on Sunset Boulevard, Gwen Restaurant & Butcher Shop is 7,000 sq ft of art deco beauty. Can you see I have a thing for gold, marble and velvet right now? I’ve placed LA on the top of my must-visit list for the next couple of years, and when I managed to go, I’m hoping the Butcher Shop is still open as I know how quickly joints are replaced in a city like this. Let’s face it, being home to so many beautiful faces, Ford Models was never going to be a run down shack right? But this place is straight out of Architectural Digest. Balancing old and new, there’s a slight industrial feel with luxe additions such a rich velvet armchairs and an open roof terrace looking over the skyline of New York City. Image credit.

I feel like this space would provoke either a love or a hate reaction. I can see both sides, but there are genius elements of design that I love. Baiser Bar in Xanthi, Greece, is a retro fan’s dream with walnut wall panelling, brass and again, hints of marble. The teal wall colour is perfection against the copper pendant lighting. Which is your favourite place from these new design discoveries? I suspect mine would have be Clerkenwell Grind, so much so I’m planning my trip next month.
