With Bonfire night well and truly out of the way, I can kick start my Christmas content with something a little different. Scandinavian interiors brand, be & liv, were kind enough to send me one of their wooden reusable advent calendars – and let’s be frank, you don’t get more Scandi than this simplistic design.
Tree24 is made from laser cut plywood and comes with 24 hallow tin ball ornaments which you can fill with whatever you choose. On the countdown to the big day, I think I’ll either go with champagne truffles like I have done today or mix things up a little and fill each ball with a good old Quality Street. You could even fill with little gifts if you can find things small enough to fit in.
I love how sleek the design is, and the fact that I can not only bring it out year after year as an advent calendar, yet also have out in the house somewhere as a decorative object, is a major selling point for me.
OK, it’s not cheap at £96.84 (€109), but it’s handcrafted, high quality and adds something a little different to your Christmas decoration this season. Come December 1st, I’ll be adding mine to the centre of my Scandi dining table, complete with artisan plates, linen napkins and of course, the blogging cliché of the moment, a eucalyptus plant. It also comes in clear acrylic and white balls, which looks ultra modern, as well a more traditional wood and red.
You can visit the be & liv website right here, and be sure to check out their other designs as they really do have their finger on the mark when it comes to sleek, minimalist design.
When do you start getting ready for Christmas? I’m already walking about humming the Santa Claus is Coming To Town tune – I told you I was feeling festive really early this year.
